The pearl of the Pirin mountains – the most famous resort Bansko is definitely worth finding for anyone who loves winter holidays. Bansko is a ski resort of the European level and famous for its highly developed infrastructure, which includes hotel, restaurant and entertainment complexes, trails and lifts are equipped with new technologies. The second largest city in the country Plovdiv is an important railway and automobile hub of Bulgaria. Twice a year there is a big international fair.

Bulgarian Plovdiv city is located in the Western part of the Thracian lowland, the most extensive in the country, part of a larger historical and geographical region of Thrace. The city stands on both banks of the Maritsa river — one of the largest rivers on the Balkan Peninsula and is surrounded by fertile land, the farmers cultivated since ancient times.

Flowing through a wide valley Plovdiv, the Maritsa river cuts through the chain of hills on which stands the city of Plovdiv.Plovdiv is the second largest city in Bulgaria, who lost first place to the capital — Sofia.

Dividing the city into two parts, the Maritsa river forms a natural border between the two historical parts of Plovdiv: the Northern part is called Northern city, or Carriacou. Historically, Plovdiv is formed South of the Maritsa river, and towards the North is expanded only in the last century. Earlier in the Turkish North were the stables.
