Chloraka is a small resort village, located only three kilometers North from Paphos town, therefore almost be considered its area. The village is located on the way to the popular beach of coral Bay and stretches along the famous Royal tombs. Kato Paphos surrounded by picturesque hills, which offer stunning views of the coast.

Chloraka, though abundance of attractions, however, is the perfect place to stay, including family. Near the village there are several good beaches such as coral Bay. This clean sandy beach, where, significantly, love to spend time not only visitors but also local residents. Located in the Ammochostos district, the village of Avgorou is one of the “krasnozemnyy” villages (Kokkinochoria), which is famous for its agricultural products. In this agricultural village grow delicious potatoes, great veggies and juicy citrus fruit is rich in minerals due to specific red soil.

The village has an ancient past, she was named after the baths Evagora King – ruler of the ancient city-state of Salamis. Finds here date from the Late Bronze Age III. So, the village has some interesting old buildings and historic churches, including the Church of the Apostles Peter and Paul and the Monastery of St. Kendeas.

Ancient Lapithos (or Lapethos) was founded as many as 3.5 thousand years ago. After the inclusion of Cyprus in the Roman Empire, the value of Lapithos gradually began to increase. The city’s population grew to ten thousand people. Lapithos was awarded the status of centre of one of the four districts of Cyprus. Through its port began to pass more and more goods.
