Prague airport Vaclav Havel’s name – the international airport of the Czech city of Prague. Located in the district of Prague 6, Ruzyne katastralny area. In 2007, at a ceremony «World Airport Awards» Prague Airport was voted best airport in Central and Eastern Europe.

The airport is the base for the airline “Czech Airlines”, whose head office is located at the airport, airline «Travel Service Airlines» and Smart Wings. The airport is named in honor of Vaclav Havel, the first president of the modern Czech Republic.

Czechoslovakia and later the Czech Republic, belongs to the pioneers of European civil aviation, which traces its history since 1919. The prerequisites for the construction of a new airport in Prague became necessary to divide the military and civil aviation, and congestion of the airport Kbely in the mid 30-ies of the twentieth century. “Ruzyně” The airport was opened April 5, 1937 in the eponymous district of Prague. Central Station (the Czech. Praha hlavní nádraží) is the largest and most important railway hub in Prague and the Czech Republic.

The station was first opened in 1871 and named in honor of the Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph I. The modern Art Nouveau building was built in 1901-09 years. designed by Czech architect Josef Fanta, apart from the previous building in Neo-Renaissance architect Ignatz Ullmann.

In the days of the First Republic (as well as in the 1948-53 biennium.) Station bore the name of US President Woodrow Wilson, a monument that stood in the park in front of the station. The Nazis demolished the monument after the US entry into World War II (end of 1941).

station area was expanded by the construction in 1971-1979 years of the new building, including a metro station. The construction was built up a significant portion of the park, and a historic building in Neo-Renaissance proved unavailable for viewing from the side of the road.

Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. It is located on the Vltava river in central Bohemia.

Old Town Square – Prague’s old area, situated in the historical center of the city. Its area is about 15 thousand sq. M. M. The area is surrounded by town houses with facades of different architectural styles: Gothic, Baroque, Renaissance, Rococo.
