Fujisawa (藤沢市 Fujisawa-shi?) is a city in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.

The area around present-day Fujisawa City has been inhabited for thousands of years. Archaeologists have found stone tools and shell middens from the Japanese Paleolithic period, ceramic shards from the Jomon period, and graves from the Kofun period at numerous locations.

The area is mentioned in the Nara period Nihon Shoki chronicles. By the Heian period, central Sagami Province was divided into shōen controlled by the Muroaoka, Oe, and other local warlords. During the Kamakura period, Fujisawa was the setting for a number of battles to overthrow the Kamakura shogunate as mentioned in the late 14th century Taiheiki. During the Muromachi period, Fujisawa developed around Yugyo-ji, a Buddhist temple, which was established in 1325.

With the Edo period, Fujisawa prospered as Fujisawa-shuku, a post station on the Tōkaidō highway connecting Edo with Kyoto. Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu built a palace in Fujisawa as a rest stop between Edo and Sunpu.

Just park live about 1100 monkeys, overseen by scientists from the National Park. Monkeys also fed farmers to protect their plantations from the raids of these animals. Monkeys, too, love to bask in the hot springs, especially in winter.

In the Beppu you can visit the zoo and close to the city is the aquarium Umitamago with large marine animals – sea lions and walruses.

Akihabara – Chiyoda quarter, the special district of Tokyo. It is less than a five minute drive from JR Tokyo Station, his name is often shortened to Akiba. Also it is known as “otaku holy land.”

Akihabara – a quarter of computer pleasures.

It is a place without exaggeration be called the world’s largest electronic bazaar – a sufficiently large central street and several adjacent parallel streets and lanes occupied by shops, shops and magazinischami computer and electronic products. As elsewhere in Japan, commercial and residential space is utilized to the maximum – even small nondescript shops, to verify, extend up to 5-6 floors up, go to tens of meters into the depths of houses, or the depths of the cellars.
