Ueda – city in Japan, located on the island of Honshu in the region of Chubu Nagano Prefecture.

Since it borders the city of Tomi, Matsumoto, Suzaku, Nagano Tikuma, villages Naghavi, Sakaki, tateshina and villages Aoki, Chikuhoku, Tsumagoi.

Tree of the city is the yew, flower – rhododendron.

The modern city of Ueda was established on March 6, 2006, from the merger of the old city of Ueda absorbing the towns of Maruko and Sanada, and the village of Takeshi (all from Chiisagata District). The new city replaced the former city of Ueda for the first time in 87 years since Ueda was elevated to city status in 1919.

As of June 1, 2011, the city has an estimated population of 158,187, with 61,091 households and a population density of 286.57 persons per km². The total area is 552.00 km², which makes it the fifth largest city in the Nagano Prefecture.

Anraku-ji in Bessho Onsen, Ueda has the only extant octagonal pagoda in Japan. The pagoda has been designated as National Treasure.

Dazaifu – city in Japan, located in Fukuoka Prefecture.

The city is located on the island of Kyushu in Fukuoka Prefecture Kyushu region. Since it borders the city of Chikushino, Ōnojō village and Umi.

Tree of the city is the camphor tree, a flower – a flower of the Japanese plum.

Dazaifu was the imperial office governing Kyūshū (corresponding to Tagajō in Tōhoku) after it was moved from present-day Fukuoka City in 663. According to the Taiho Code of 701, an attempt by the Yamato state to exert further control over its territories, Dazaifu was given two principal administrative functions – to supervise the affairs of Tsukushi (present-day Kyushu), and to receive foreign emissaries. Dazaifu hosted foreign embassies from China and Korea. Kōrokan, a guesthouse for foreign embassies, was also established.

The Korokan featured in contemporary literature, such as the Man’yōshū, as a place of departure for ocean voyages. From the Nara period through the Heian period and until the Kamakura period, Dazaifu was one of the military and administrative centers of Japan. In the Heian period, Dazaifu was a place of exile for high-ranking courtiers. Nobles exiled there include Sugawara no Michizane His grave is at Dazaifu Tenman-gū.

Ibaraki – prefecture, located in the Kanto region on Honshu island, Japan. Prefectural Administration Center – the city of Mito. In Ibaraki Prefecture, located 32 cities and 7 districts (10 towns and two villages).

Ibaraki Prefecture is the northeastern part of the Kantō region, stretching between Tochigi Prefecture and the Pacific Ocean and bounded on the north and south by Fukushima Prefecture and Chiba Prefecture. It also has a border on the southwest with Saitama Prefecture. The northernmost part of the prefecture is mountainous, but most of the prefecture is a flat plain with many lakes.

Since it borders the city Suite, Takatsuki, Minor, and Pizza village Toyone.

Ibaraki’s industries include energy, particularly nuclear energy, production, as well as chemical and precision machining industries. The Hitachi company was founded in the Ibaraki city of the same name.
